Bond Procedures

A bond is a guarantee that the defendant will appear for his/her court date. If the inmate is bonded out of jail, and does not return for his/her court date, then the money that was provided for the bond amount is forfeit to the courts.

Inmates can be bonded out of jail (if bond has been set) at any time of the day. If you would like to bond an inmate out, please call ahead and let the staff know that you are coming. Stop by the office with the EXACT amount owed IN CASH. No checks or credit cards are accepted. One of the staff will be able to help you as soon as possible. You will be given a reciept for the money. Please keep in mind, in order to bond an inmate out, a deputy has to be present at the Sheriff's Office.

Once the court date has arrived, and the defendant made his/her appearance before the judge, then you will receive your bond money back minus 10% for court costs.
